Role hierarchy How does role hierarchy work?
Definition
It uses the organisational hierarchy to determine if/when managers get to see records of all subordinates. Note you only see records of people BELOW you in the heirarchy. You won't see the records of your peers.

OWD controls the baseline visibility for each object (e.g. Accounts, Contacts, opportunities, Cases) across the whole organisation for records they don’t own.
