Definition
Plan proposed by Ben Franklin at the Albany Congress in 1754.  It was an attempt to form a union of colonies that would unite English colonists with mainland England to assist in defending the New World during the French and Indian War.  The plan was unanimously voted for, yet it was reject by the colonies’ legislatures—it was never put into effect.

Second in a series of four French and Indian Wars.  It was the counterpart of Europe’s War of the Spanish Succession.  France fought Great Britain; a number of Indian tribes and Spain (France’s ally) fought.

Series of individual peace treaties signed in Dutch city of Utrecht in March and April 1713.  It helped end the War of the Spanish Succession [NOTE keep in mind that Queen Anne’s War was the counterpart of the War of the Spanish Succession]
