When Czar Nicholas was away in WWI, his wife and Rasputin ruled, Rasputin murdered. march Revolution-Riots started with shortage of bread, soldiers sided with workers, REvolutionaries executed Nicholas and family

Provisional government was set up, contined to fight in WWI, peasents wanted Bolsheviks, Lenin and Bolsheviks gained control of Russia, Russia exited the war, Boshevik Red army fought the White army in Russian civil war, Led by Leon Trotsky, the red army won. Russia's economy was destroyed, so Lenin instated the New economic policy, where peasents had control, Russia recovered, and were renamed the Soviet Union, Lenin's party called Communists, Lenin dies, and Stalin exiled Trotsky and assumed all power.
