May come in the form of either published or unpublished documents, recordings, or artifacts; they must be current in relation to the events, people, or information that is at issue. Anything written hundreds of years after event is NOT primary source. Primary sources may NOT always be accurate. Primarysources are often ambiguous and fragmentary, making them difficult to analyze.
