Must be licensed to be a school social worker in NC. To get a license one must have an msw or bsw and take these two classes. No exam for licensure. The wealthier school systems require msw’s for school social workers while the smaller systems have mostly bsws. |

Free transportation must be provided by the school system to transport the child to their same school when the family becomes homeless and keeps moving from shelter to shelter or from temporary living situation to the next. |
