Caused by S. aureus or group A Strep
Localized infection can be treated with mupirocin (Bactroban) ointment
Severe/widespread cases will need po antibiotic therapy

Eczema in an infant.
Infants tend to have more facial and central/truncal involvment with their eczema
Mainstay of treatment is moisturizing, mild detergents/soaps and itch control with Benadryl.
"the itch that rashes"
Topical steroids may be necessary for short periods to get control. Don't use stronger than 1% hydrocortisone on the face! |

Contact dermatitis from nickel in the belt buckle or jeans snap.
Try to get rid of direct contact
Treat with topical steroid... sometimes medium strength such as triamcinolone or fluticasone may be needed for 7-10 days |

Caused by Parvovirus
Contagious only before the rash develops.
