A - powerul arm adductor, extensor, and medially rotates the shoulder

Definition

O - Medial part of ribs 5-7 

I - Lateral edge of the highest part of the intertubercular groove 

A - rotates medially, extends, and adducts the shoulder (tennis serve or volleyball spike)

Definition

O - sternum and cartilage of ribs 1-7 

I - lateral edge of the mdidle part of the intertubercular groove

A - adducts the arm across the chest and pulls the shoulder forward

O - Ventral surface of the clavicle 

I - Bottom of the intertubercular groove

A - Adducts the arm toward the face (follow through in bowling or upper cut in boxing)

O - Spinous processes of T4-T12 (overlaps latissimus dorsi slightly) 

I - Posterior portion of the spine of the scapula 

A - Power muscle that pulls the scapula back and rotates it laterally

Definition

O - Lower end of the nuchal ligament, spinous proccesses of C6-T3 

I - Medial margin of the acromial process and the distal end of the scapular spine 

A - power muscle that lifts the shoulder upward and back

Trapezius Pars Clavicularis 

Definition

O - begins at the superiour part of the nuchal ligament from the occipital bone and continues along the nucal ligament to C6 

I- Superior border of the last lateral third of the clavicle 

A - elevates scapula and helps rotate it upward
