Atom: Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space. Matter is made up of tiny particles called atoms. Atoms make up elements. An element is a substance that is made up of only one kind of atom.

Osmosis: The movement of water across the cell membrane. Water molecules move out of the plant's cells, the plant wilts. |
