As we walked past Mr. Warner's house, the home in which he has lived for 50 years, we saw him in the yard, bent over in his garden.
"Hi, Mr. Warner!" I said, but he replied, "Leave me alone, you rotten whippersnapper. I oughta call your parents on you! And get offa my property!"
"But Mr. Warner, we aren't on your property," I said.
"Shut up, you! I'm gonna call the cops, and then you'll be sorry!" |
