• muscles work with bones to move parts of the body
• some assist organ function (stomach organ muscle)
• some muscles are an organ - the heart

• detects changes in the environment and brain signals response changes to the body

• sends signals to body parts for normal functions

•  a group of (1 or more) organs that perform specific bodily functions
