- Under normal conditions temperature limit is 147F
- Under abnormal conditions temperature limit is 180F, with the following assumptions CCW is <95F, CCW Flow > 3000 gpm, SFC 2300 gpm.
Design Basis Heat Load:
- EOL 2 Pps, 2 HXs, 10% plugged tubes=147F
- EOL 1Pp, 2 HXs, 10% plugged tubes= 150F
- Suction is 4 feet below surface of pool
- Return line discharge 6 feet above the top of the fuel and has a 1/2 inch anti-siphon hole below pool surface
- Redundant weir gates (preclude loss of water with transfer pool empty)
- SFP Racks Seismic Class I, Piping Class II
- Storage Capacity 1632 fuel assemblies
- Redundant Pps, power from different vital buses
- SFP system entirely manual, controlled from the field.
