• DUMA --> limited constitutional monarchy

• Czar made too few reforms
• Didn't use DUMA, and secret police terrorized civilians
• Russia wouldn't pull out of WW1, food shortages were high, and revolutionary conditions led to it happening

• DUMA wouldn't get out of WW1 and didn't make reforms
• Launched disasterous attack on Germany, leaving soldiers tired, hungry, and sick.
• Bolsheviks attacked and took over the provisional government and the Kremlin
• Eventually led to signing Brest-Litovsk Treaty

• Was a limited constitutional monarchy
• Czar had to check in with Duma before making reforms

• Led by Lenin
• Was the proletariat of Russia, eventually made into revolutionary group that seized the Romanov rule.
• Fought a civil war against the "whites".
