Term
How do the thoughts contained in the following quotations contribute to establishing rapport with the client? a) The Practioner recognizes pure Spirit at the center of his/her client's being...It is God in that person." and b) No matter how impossible any situation may seem or how difficult the solutation to any problem may appear, the Practitioner holds to the idea that Spirit has no problem, there are no impossible situations." (Prac 2-1-4) |
|
Definition
Practioners see the person as a spiritual being that is whole, perfect, and complete. We know that any condition is the result of an incorrect use of the Law and we know that if we change the thought process we change the outer condition. There is nothing to be changed, only God to be revealed in the situation. God IS the essence of the individual and not apart from. |

This Law (cause and effect) operates on out beliefs as we believe them - not as we hope them to be, but as we actually believe them to be." (Prac 2-1-6) |
|
Definition
We need to ask questions to get at what beliefs are under the condition and to find out HOW (not why) this condition materialized. Once we know what beliefs caused the condition, we can work to change them and thereby create other conditions. As Holmes says, "Show me what someone's life is like and I will tell you what is in their mind." |

|
|
Term
From your readings in Prac 2-Term 1-Classes 4, 5, and 6, how do rapport, listening, and asking questions relate to each other? How could a Professional Practitioner's proficiency in these skills contribute to breaking down race thought and subjective thought patterns in the client? (Prac 2-1-6) |
|
Definition
Practitioners who connect with the client and hear beyond the words are able to ask profoundly deep and powerful questions. This can aid in cutting through the condition.
All three build trust and when trust is built deeper questions can be asked. All three allow what is hidden to come to the surface. If we listen intently, we will be able to hear more quickly what is undelying the condition and bring it to the surface, thus aiding the client toward a shift in consciousness more rapidly. |
