Pilot SCT course with veterans |
|
Definition
vets from different military operations who report feelings of PTSD, anger, etc... they do the class which teaches the skills previously listed about the class they adapted the SCT procedure by cueing guided meditation every 7 seconds because in other programs, prolonged silence produced anxiety. so the first couple of classes they had more cues than normal
anger decreased while listening to the CDs, still came to class even when they didnt want to, noting the good, instead of thinking about the bad in loved ones.
ppl were able to positively interact with loved one s and strangers because they changed their perceptions of what these ppl wanted from them and noticed more kindness |
