>180 1-8 years of age

>220 newborn to 1

 0.1 mg/kg IV/IO followed by rapid flush

 cardioversion at 0.5j/kg

Versed 0.1mg/kg

 Adenosine (Adenocard)

 (rapid a-fib/flutter, svt,sinus tach, WPW)

6mg IV over 1-2 seconds

Repeat with 12mg over 1-2sec follow by a rapid 20cc NS flush. Record a rhythm strip during admin.

 MDI 2 puffs

2.5mg in 3mL

may repeat 2 times if necessary

 (wheezes from asthma or respiratory distress)

 Pediatric

 Amiodarone (Cordarone) 

 300mg IV/IO

for pulseless Vtach and V fib

repeat with 150mg

 Drip set

 0.5 mg IV/IO max 3mg

 (peds-0.02mg/kg IV/IO min dose0.1mg;max 1mg)

 (0.5mg in 2.5mL)

 X 3 doses

 10 mL of 10% solution over 20min in IV/IO

Indications: profound bradycardia, hypotension, or conduction deficits. Calcium channel blocker overdose.

 Cardizem (Diltiazem)

(antiarrhythmic)

(PSVT, a-fib, a-flutter)

 (0.25mg/kg IV/IO slowly over 2 minutes)

 12.5-25 grams

used for hypogycemia, coma of unknown origin

(contra indic if intracerebral bldg or hemorrhagic CVA)

 Peds - 1mg/kg IM/IV

For moderate to severe allergic reactions

 Adults and peds - 2-20 mcg/kg/min

 Indications: Hypotension and bradycardia

Contra: ^HR, HTN, dose to 1/10th for pt. on MAOI's

 Epinephrine

1mg 1:10,000 (cardiac arrest)

CHF with pulmonary edema, hypertensive crisis

Peds <5 0.5 mg, >51mg IM

can be given every 5 minutes or until seizure stops

(can be reversed with Flumazenil)

Peds- 0.05-0.1/kg dose up to 2 mg

  Eclampsia- 2 grams IV over 5 min X2 (4g over 10min)

Torsades- 1-2 gm (5-10gm may be required)

 Metoprolol(Lopressor)

(beta blocker for a-fib, a-flutter, psvt)

 CALL MEDICAL CONTROL!!!

2.5-5mg every 2-5 minutes max 15mg

For MI- 5 mg IV slowly over 2-5 minutes repeated every 5 minute to a total of 15mg

(contra- CHF, APE, bronchospam, brady, hypotension, Hx asthma)

 For chest pain, CHF w/chest pain and pain management

Peds 0.1mg/kg up to 4 mg

Adults 2-4 mg IV/IM

BP needs to be > 100 (>80 in peds)

 For chest pain

check for erectile disfunction meds in the last 24 hrs

1 pill or spray X 3 (every 5 min) if BP>100

For CHF sublingual 0.4 every 3-5 min. no max dose

  Indication: Benzo OD

0.2mgIV/IO repeat 0.3 mg, repeat 0.5mg max 5mg

1 amp for cardiac arrest

for Tricyclid OD 1-2 amps IV (for long transports consider a drip with 3 amps in a liter of D5W @250mL/hr after the initial boluses are in.

15-30mg IV or 30-60mg IM

 Cardiac for shocks: Peds 0.1mg/kg IV/IO

Adults:1-2mg IV over 1-2 min titrated to effect. Max 5mg

For seizures: 2-5 mg IV/IM may repeat in 5 in x1 do not exceed 5mg per dose max dosing 10mg

 CHF, Allergies and Anaphylaxis, Chest Pain

(Nebulized Inhaled beta2 bronchodilator)

 Zofran (Ondansetron)

(5H3 receptor agonist)

4mgIV slowly or IM

Peds-0.1mg/kg slow IV/IO Max 4mg

(follow with 25-50mg of Benadryl if side effects develope)
