PROCUREMENT STATEMENT OF WORK
Definition

* Document where the work to be done by the Seller is explained in detail. As much detail as needed for seller to easily understand the Scope of Work

 

* Should be easily understandable ,concise, and it should contain every info needed:

- Requirements & constraints, schedule

- Technical drawings & specifications

- Approval criteria for the work to be done

- Communication requirements

- Other Proj Mgmt activities

- Number of staff needed, etc. 

 

* There can be modifications until the contract is signed

 

* If the Procurement Statement of Work is well prepared, the number of change requests will be less after signing the contract

PROCUREMENT STATEMENT OF WORK - 4 TYPES
Definition

FUNCTIONAL - specifies the functions of the end product; ex: the doors of the elevators should be automatic

 

PERFORMANCE - explains the performance of the end product; the speed of the elevator should be 2m / sec

 

DESIGN TYPE - deals with the appearance of the end product; ex: inside of the elevators will be as drawn in the drawings

 

TERMS OF REFERENCE - explain the service the vendor will perform; ex: the cleaners will clean the office two times a day
