antidote: pralidoxime (only effective early on); or atropine

atropine: reversible, non-selective muscarinic blocker

antidote: physostigmine (reversible AChE)

tubocurarine: nondepolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent

antidote: neostigmine (reversible AChE)

malignant hyperthermia when used with halothane

antidote: dantrolene (blocks release of Ca++ from SR)

1. epinephrine alone: inc BP & HR (agonist for alpha1/2 and beta 1/2 - low doses selective for beta1)

2. epinephrine + phenoxybenzamine (the only irreversible & nonselective alpha-blocker): dec BP due to beta2 activity

before alpha blockade: inc BP (pure alpha agonist, without beta action)

after alpha blockade (phenoxybenzamine): back to baseline (net reversal)
