He had begged and pleaded with his mom to home school him, but she insisted that he attend school. “The friends you will make in middle school will truly last a lifetime,” she explained. He looked at his waffles that his mother had prepared him and he threw them at the dogs in a fit of rage. He stormed to his room and hurriedly got dressed. He then stomped out the door, pounding his feet mercilessly against the carpet, attempting to show his mother how frustrated he was.
