Height: Depends on Variety (intermediate or Focal)
Leaves: 4-5 inches long with palmate form
Bark: Gray and often refered to as 'muscular' in form
       - interesting sight in winter
Fruit: Green Samara(immature) brown(mature)
Notes: great unique small tree, low mounding

Chinese Paperbark Maple
Height: Intermediate Group
Leaves: Trifoliate leaflets (3 leaves)
Bark: Most ornamental feature
       - rust brown/orange peeling (exfoliated) texture
Fruit: Green Samara(immature) brown(mature)
        -seeds devoid of embryos (parthenocarpic)
Notes: Expensive! since seeds are sterile it costs much more to propagate.

Definition
Amur Maple
Height: Intermediate Group
Leaves: opposite, three lobed Dark Green with some gloss feature, fantastic fall color to dark dark red (most ornamental feature is fall color)
Bark:olive-gray on older, some ornamental value , similar to amalanchier
Fruit: Red Samara(immature) - ornamental brown(mature) - not very ornamental
Notes: extremely hardy!shrub or small tree (pruned)
