- Biliary- hepatotoxins, obstructtion if the common bile duct  

Liver Does: 

- stores blood

- breaks down fat

-detoxifies drugs

- sythesises serum proteins 

- filters amonia 

- albumin- maintains oncloted pressure

Pathology of Laennec's:

- alcohol is transformed to acetaldehyde + alters hepatocyte function

- inhibits the removal of proteins from liver + alters metabolism of viatamins + minierals 

-"fatty liver'

- fat accumulates in liver
