 Kings and queens are those among an aristocracy. 

 A government in which power is in the hands of a hereditary ruling class or nobility

3. Checks and Balances

 Our goverment uses checks and balances to assure no one has too much power.

4.Constitutionalism

 Here in the USA we practice constitutionalism.

5.Democracy

Democracy grants people of a country, such as ours, to voice what they want to see done.

 A system of government in which every citizen in the country can vote to elect its government officials

6.Direct Democracy

 In a direct democracy, we as citizens are allowed to rule without anyone having to represent us.

7. Executive

 Representitives, who we chose, takes executive power, when in office.

8.Federalism

Some places in the world use federalism as their government.

9.Indirect Democracy

Indirect democracy allows Americans to have a voice through a representitive.

 The man works in the judicial branch in government.

 Our president works every four years in the legislative branch.

In order to avoid tyrants and dictators, America gives limted power to those in government.

The oligarchy discussed what they had been planning for their country.

16.Popular Sovereignty

Popular sovereignty assures that all Americans have a voice in what our country should be like.

17.Preamble

As he wrote, Thomas Jefferson made sure to write a preamble in the Declaration of Independence.

Because of separation of powers, the president only gets thirty-three percent of power, when in office.

Everyone had fled the country, due to King George ruling in tyranny.

22.U.S. Bill of Rights

 The U.S. Bill of Rights allows me to have rights in America.
