You can't get away from ComEd. They own all of the meters, poles, and wires. ComEd takes care of all delivery, billing, customer service, but they don't create their own electricity. They source it from suppliers. There's a new supplier now, Encoa, so the rates went lower in this neighborhood. My job is to make sure that you qualify for the lower rate. Oh what happened? You signed a contract that had a termination fee and then when you didnt like your rate, you couldnt get out of it? I hear that all the time. That happened a few years ago. There are actually laws and regulations set up to keep that from happening again. This time on ComEd, there's no contracts and the rate is gaurenteed, so the consumer is protected. |

ComEd will tell you about the Customer Choice program, but you have to get signed up with a supplier to get the other two charges off your bill. That's why reps from the supplier got sent out. The way this gets fixed up is a simple phone call from me. I just have to check and see if you qualify first. |

- It doesnt have to be a current bill. It can be any statement.
- Are you able to login online? John was able to print his bill offline I can fix you up that way as well.
- When I call you in to fix it, they ask me for your name, number, address, an account number so they know which house they're fixing. I know you know your name and address, but do you have your account number written down somewhere? Write it on a post-it. You'll need it.
- Ok, what you will need to do is call ComEd customer service. Dial 000 for operator, tell them your name and address and theyll give you your account number. That way i can sign you up for Encoa. This will only take a min.
