Action- flexion of wrist and antebrachium; tenses palmar aponeurosis

Action- flexion and adduction of wrist

Action- flexion of wrist and forearm; abduction of hand

Insertion- middle phalanx of 4 fingers

Action- flexion of second phalanges of 4 fingers; flexion of elbow and wrist

Origin- proximal shaft of ulna; coronoid process of ulna

Insertion- distal phalanx of 4 fingers

Action- flexion of all phalanges of 4 fingers; flexion of hand at wrist

Origin- anterior radius; coronoid process of ulna; median epicondyle of humerus 

Insertion- distal phalanx of pollex (thumb)

Action- flexion of thumb; flexion and adduction of first metatarsal

Pronator teres

Origin- medial epicondyle of humerus; coronoid process of ulna

Insertion- proximal & middle radius, lateral side

Action- pronation of hand

Origin- anterior distal ulna

Insertion- anterior distal 1/4 of radius

Action- pronation of hand

Action- extension and abduction of wrist
