Definition
- Reaction time- How fast you can responed to something.
- Movement time- time taken from movement initiated till movement ends.
- response time- time taken from stimulus presented till movement ends
- Foreperiod- time between the warning and stimulus presented.
- simple RT-participents know which response to produce prior to stimulus.
- Choice RT- participants do not know which response to produce prior to stimulus.

Anticipation
- invalid results- movement initiated by anticipation rather than a warning or stimulous.
How to Prevent anticipation??
Prevention...
- Catch trial- Present a warning but give no stimulous
- Vary Foreperiod- Changing the time between warning and stimulous
- Minimum RT- A set period the participent has to react in. E.g athletes ave to react in 100m/s to the start gun other wise they are disqualified.
