Definition
Simile- a comparison that uses like or as. Comparing the death to being fast and short to the tedious tale/story.
Term
"Yea, noise? Then I'll be be brief. O' happy dagger." (5.3.167)
Definition
Personification- an item has an added human characteristic. In this case, the dagger has a human emotion of happiness.

"For here lies Juliet, and her beauty makes this vault a feasting presence full of light." (5.3.86-87)

Metaphor- Comparison without using like or as. Romeo is comparing Juliet to light.

Hyperbole- Over exaggerated. Clearly shows how he thinks he is the best/greatest, but isn't.

Simile- a comparison that uses like or as. Compares the drug to a cannon. Pretty much saying how it will shoot your system with no remorse.

Personification- an item has an added human characteristic. The world is made to seem to be friends, make laws, and can't afford mistakes. It's the people and society that do. The world is a symbol to explain everything around them. These actions were given to represent human interactions/ characteristics.

Definition
Hyperbole- Over exaggerated. With a small potion, there is not enough to kill 20 men with it since that 1 bottle killed 1 person. They were over exaggerating the damage that could have been done/created.
