Modernization of Army: Nezami Jedid (officers were albanians, turks, etc, european trained). Got rid of old army in Arabian Campaign (1811-1818)

1906. British were shooting at birds, accidentally killed an Egyptian Woman. British officers were killed in retaliation, and then those responsible for attacks were executed. One cause for increased political activisim in 1907.
