Definition

It is the opposite of a highball. 

more potent than ave. highball, rich/hearty liquor-y flavor

can be requested with call brands

any whiskey, bourbon, cocktail served on the rocks

5:1 or 1:1 or 1:0 liquor:mixer

  3. Top with seltzer

  1. Place glass in fridge/freezer
  2. crush ice
  3. fill chilled glass w/ice or water
  4. prepare cocktail
  5. hold stel of glass, shake downward to remove ice & water
  6. strain cocktail and serve

 

  1. Coat the inside of glass with water
  2. dump excess
  3. place in freezer until frosted
  4. use to serve

Very dry: 12:1 (coat glass w/ Vermouth, empty, shake Gin alone with ice, pour)

Perfect 16:1:1 (Gin, Sweet Vermouth, Dry Vermouth)

Dirty 16:1:1 (Gin, Very Dry Vermouth, Splash of Olive Juice)

Naked (Just gin, no Vermouth)
