Helps the body perform everyday activities. -Mitochondrial disease is when the mitochondria fails, meaning less energy is made in the cell, which results in cell injury and organ failure |

A mother of two from Escondido, California said that her firstborn appeared perfectly normal until he was 15 months old. They noticed that he had trouble focusing, and then they noticed developmental issues. By the time he was two he was in a wheelchair. Her second borns condition was noticed a bit sooner. His condition was much worse. -died at 8 months. 3 yrs later oldest. lee died at 5 |
