1. Silent generation: elder's value, dedicated to employers and so employers give back, many hold positions of power 2. Baby boomers- 55% of workforce, believe it privacy, freedom of speech, downsizing shocked them so feel betrayed. Hold knowledge and talent and do not leave employers. 3. Gen X: 1/3 of workforce, due to downsizing, they are independent and cynical. They are focused and futre oriented, they demand interesting projects that require sophisticated problem solving. Computer literate. 4. Gen Y: more sophisticated in technology, multitasking, juggle numerous projects, however short attention span and cosntant need for stimulation/entertainment, and blur lines of work and leisure time. |
