How we treat it depends on race, SES, and how prevalent it is is dependent upon where. MMPI- Blacks score higher on the schizophrenia scale. It is also a measure of social alienation. They experience more social alienation because of the bigotry that they experience in the country. Mental illness is socially defined. How it is treated depends on economic status, race, ethnicity, and other socio-demographic variables. |
