Requirements:
Enrollment is automatic upon arrival at recruit training unless recruit chooses not to participate Monthly deductions of $100 for 12 months and are NON-REFUNDABLE All Marines entering active duty on or after Oct. 1, 2001 who do not plan to participate in the MGIB-AD must file for disenrollment prior to the 3rd week of recruit training
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent prior to completion of his/her first enlistment A minimum of 3 years active service upon separation Must receive Honorable Discharge and benefits must be used within 10 years after separation If a Marine chooses to use the program while on active duty, they are required to have 2 years of active duty completed.
Benefits:
$1,321.00 per month for full time students attending a nationally accredited educational institution
Continues for a maximum of 36 months to equal $47,556.00
If other that a full time basis
¾ time study = $990.75
½ time study = $660.50
¼ time study = $330.25

Requirements:
This program is non-contributory Must have served a minimum of 90 days active duty after September 10, 2001 You must serve at least 30 days of continuous active duty service after September 10, 2001 and be discharged due to a service-connected disability, or served an aggregate of 90 days of active duty service after September 10, 2001 and: Be honorably discharged from Armed Forces or Be released from Armed Forces with service characterized as honorable and placed on the retired list, temporary disability retired list, or transferred to the Fleet Reserve or the Fleet Marine Corps Reserve or Be discharged or released from the Armed Forces for one of the following:
Existed Prior to Service EPTS
Hardship HDSP
Condition Interfered With Duty CIWD
Continue to be on active Duty
Benefits:
Total combined benefit eligibility based on the period of post – 9/11 service:
100% - 36 or more total months (includes entry level or skill training time)
100% - 30 or more consecutive days with disability related discharge (includes entry level or skill training time)
90% - 30 total months (includes entry level or skill training time)
80% - 24 total months (cannot include entry level or skill training time)
70% - 18 total months (cannot include entry level or skill training time)
60% - 12 total months (cannot include entry level or skill training time)
50% - 6 total months (cannot include entry level or skill training time)
40% - 90 or more aggregate days (cannot include entry level or skill training time)
Monthly house stipend – will be paid based on the monthly BAH payable for a military member with dependents in pay grade E-5 residing in the same ZIP code for the school where the individual is enrolled
Individuals training at ½ time or less, and individuals taking 100% distance learning classes are not eligible for a housing stipendBooks and Supplies – you may receive a stipend of up to $1000 a year for books
