1. What are the incentives of the USMAP? |
|
Definition
Since this is not an enlistment option, there are no promotional incentives or any geographic assignment guarantees involved
This program allows individual Marines to receive credit for Technical Instruction (Formal Training School)as well as credit for Job Work Experience, to be accredited toward Certification of Journeyman status from the Department of Labor (DOL)
Additionally, Marines may be credited with 1,000 hours for each full year of military experience prior to registration into USMAP (cannot exceed more than 50% of the term of the apprenticeship) |
