Biopsy, x ray, bronchoscope- into bronchi to access leion to biopsy. Has to be fairly central. Mediastinoscopy: central area- scope inserted in mediastinum. Percutaneous needle biopsy: for peripheral lesions. Pneumothorax is a risk. Lymph node biopsy. Thoracotomy: cut thorax, remove tissue. |
