-Unicellular or multicellular eukaryotes - Consumers * Decomposers: secrets digestive juices , than absorb nutrients from dead organisms * Parasites: absorb nutrients from living host cell * Mutualistic Relationships: absorbs nutrients from living host, but also helps host ~ Plants: fungi on plant roots helps in obtaining minerals, some protect plants from diseases ~ Algae: may live inside fungi - Most are made of chains of cells called hyphae * Used for growth, feeding, and reproduction * Grow together to form mycelium (underground) - Have cell walls made of chitin * Not cellulose like plants |
