Our genes affect our environment reacts to and influences us. In other words, Nature enables nurture, and vice-versa. Genes can be self regulating, acting differently in different environments.
we are all products of our genetic predispositions and our environments.

Genetics can play a role in the way you appear to others, how they respond to you, how you respond to their response, etc....
