Request for Comments: official publication branch of the IETF. RFC is submitted as ASCII and can range anywhere from computer networking, procedures, program notes, opinions, meeting minutes. Each published RFC document is assigned a unique serial number that can never be altered, instead if amendments are needed a new RFC is written and placed in line. |
