1. The great compromise. Representation by population, the House of Representatives. Representation by state, the Senate.
2. The commercial compromise. Congress was given the power to regulate commerce or controlled trade with foreign countries and between the states. A tree with a foreign country would require a two thirds vote of the Senate.
3. The 3/5 compromise. South wanted slaves to count, the doors did not. Compromise was that only 3/5 of the slaves of states could be counted as population towards representation.
