What was the “labyrinth” of the Minotaur and how does the palace at Knossos fit that description?
Definition
The labyrinth of the Minotaur was a place where 14 young men and women were sent each year as a sacrifice to the Minotaur. It was a big maze that was designed by Daedalus and was near impossible for anyone to get out even the architect. Knossos has a lot of corridors and complex rooms that resemble that of what was described in the labyrinth.
Term
What is the subject matter and style exhibited in Minoan wall paintings?
Definition
The thing that is found in a lot of Minoan paintings is a bull. The bull is at the center of some important painting and is believed to be one of the things the Minoans sacrificed as it had to do with strength and virility. The style that they used was fresco which is a painting done rapidly in watercolor on wet plaster on a wall or ceiling, so that the colors penetrate the plaster and become fixed as it dries.

Definition
I think that they were made to be put into graves as part of the burial. The sculpture was made to represent the person that was buried.
Term

Definition
I think that the volcano eruption had a lot to do with the decline of the Minoan civilization. It killed off plant life and did not allow the city to thrive as it usually would. The city was then left susceptible to attacks in the Mycenaean's took advantage of.

Definition
It is the syllabic script that is used for writing Mycenaean Greek which is the earliest for of written Greek. Linear A still has not been deciphered and is believed to have been used by the Minoans. Linear B has about 87 syllables used for writing and about 100 different symbols used to represent certain things.

Describe Mycenaean city planning and construction.
Definition
The Mycenaean's design of their city was the complete opposite of the Minoans. While the Minoans seemed as if they felt like they were never going to be attacked the Mycenaean's were the complete opposite. They built their walls as if they were being attacked at the time. Also they lived by the sword and had paintings of war scenes everywhere.
