Definition
Yes they were. The reaction was that they collected no taxes because they thought england would tell them if they had not collected enough money.

Definition
There was tax put on any paper product,including legal documents, etc. There was also tax on things like dice, and cards, and other personal things. To prove the tax was paid, there was a stamp put on the goods.

Definition
It was where tax was put on lead, glass, paper, paint, and tea. Reaction was a Boycott on all British goods. The result was it was all repealed in 1770, except for tea tax.

Definition
One of the soldiers was looking for extra work, was taunted by crowd, and told to find work cleaning toilets. Crowd grows, other British soldiers come to help, and defend, the crowd throws snowballs, and stones. There was then confustion,someone yell's "fire" probably meaning fire stones or something, but soldiers fire into crowd killing five and wounding seven.

Reaction to boston massacre?
Definition
Wasn't very big as it only killed five, but, but Samuel Adams calls it the Boston Massacre. Soldiers (in engraving) seem evil, and colonists innocent. This stirs up anger among colonists.

Definition
He claimed it was defense against an angry mob. Soldiers involved were tried, six were found not guilty, and two were charged with manslaughter (NOT MURDER) The two charged were punished with branded thumbs.

It is the "committees of correspondence" It is for colonial leaders to write to eachother to discuss problems. this helps to bring a sence of unity to colonies.

What happens when Britain trys to regain control?
Definition
The tea tax are lowered, but not repealed so colonists are paying less for tea than englishmen. The point of this was to establish a monopoly for the East India Company(Parliament could then tax the company to get money from colonists. The reaction of this was the boston tea party.

Definition
the group was called "Sons of Liberty", and they dressed as mowhawk indians, boarded ships, and tossed 342 large chests of tea into the harbor.Samuel Adams was the head dood.

What was the result, and reaction to the result when Britain got mad about the Boston Tea Party?
Definition
Result was there were intolerable acts, like closing the Boston Harbor(which killed the boston economy). The British also gave the royal governor of Massacheusits supreme power(no more legislatures). And, the quartering act was revised-colonists now have to keep soldiers in private homes. The reaction to Britains acts were that other colonies began to send aid to Boston, the colonies began working together, and the colonies begin to see eachother as friends, and Britain as the bad guy.
