Gaea(earth) is the solid ground and heaven(Ouranos) is the blue vault on high. Gaea and Ouranos have three kids; cyclops, titans, and 100 handed 50 headed monster. Heavens does not like the 100 handed 50 headed monster and imprisons them . Mother Earth gets infuriated at the treatment of her children and asks the titans to overthrow him. Chronus the titan heps her, fights Heaven, and wounds him. From his blood giants and furies are created.
Chronus later on starts a family with Rhea and they have six kids; Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Demeter, Hestia, and Hera. |

What happens in the story of Demeter and Persephone? |

Definition
Persephone was taken to the underworld by Hades. Due to Demeter's grief the earth starts to die because she is so depressed. Zeus sends Hermes to get Persephone but Hades had made Persephone eat a pomegranate fruit. The fruit made it so she had to stay in the underworld for 4 months every year, resulting with winter. |
