Beneath cable pattern, shows persius fleeing from the gorgons & medusa- If you look at medusa, turn to stone. Cap of darkness- invisible. Winged sandals- allowed him to fly. Patron goddess athena.
On back- less careful and detailed. Meant to be seen from front. Frontally oriented is oreintalizing.
