The Articles of Confederation was an agreement between all 13 states that the United Staes of America was a confederation and served as the constitution for the new country.

there was no federal executive officer listedk, no federal judicial branch; treaties,tariffs, and coining money were not listed as exclusive powers to Congress so the states could do what they pleased and Congress had no taxing power; there had to be a unanimous vote to change them which was virtually impossible; each law had to be approved by every state

Describe the Great Compromise.
Definition
The great compromise was discovered by roger sherman. There were arguments going around about how many representatives each state would be allowed to have in the constitutional convention. The Virginia Plan (favored by the larger states) said that the number of representatives should be determined by the state's population. On the other hand, the New Jersey plan said that the number of representatives should be the same for each state. Roger Sherman proposed a two house legislature consisting of the senate and the house of representatives. The Senate would have an equal number of representatives from each state. The House of Reps would have one representative for every 30,000 people.
