Push America is the national philanthropy of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. It is the first and only philanthropy created, owned and operated by a fraternity. |

Push America originally started as P.U.S.H. America, which stood for play units for the severely Handicapped. Originally, Push America was only involved with handicap accessible playground equipment. Later, the acronym was dropped and it became PUSH America. |

crew and team member. Crew members get to drive the vans as well as hold one of these positions:
Crew chief: handles all of the tools and team equipment
Public relations: Promotes Build America to the local media
Historian: take pictures during the trip at camps, members of Pi kappa Phi work to improve the camps and then volunteer at night with children with disabilities

a 64 day, 4000 mile cycling trip to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities. There are 3 routes: North, South and Trans America(Trans). JOH raises over $500,000 for people with disabilities.

You must raise $5,000 to cycle the Journey of Hope, or $1,500 to be a crew member.
Pi kappa Phi members cycle on an average 85 miles per day and then volunteer afterwards at friendship visits with people with disabilities. |
