| The government wouldn't allow farmers to ship their food out of the country so they struggled to make income. To feed the entire country though the government increased farm land. Population was on the rise and the 3rd class citizens struggled to feed their families while the upper class and the bourgeoisie profited from export trades. The government refused to give the 3rd class party more power, even though they represented a greater part of the nation then any other nations working class. The government sent the army out and the peasants and the bourgeoisie felt threatened. The peasants refused to pay taxes and got armed to protect themselves. Winners were the bourgeoisie and the peasants. The losers were the upperclass and the church leaders who had abused their power. |
