Perform hemocytometer cell count on body fluid specimens |
|
Definition
Hemocytometer cell count- clean hemocytometer and cover slip, apply cover slip, and then apply a drop of fluid to each side of the grooves, let sit for a minute. Place the hemocytometer under 10X power and find the arrow, start at the top right corner of the grid. Count under 40X. |

|
Definition
Count/0.9 = cells/uL if using the entire grid, or cell/0.1 = cell/uL if using center grid only |
