"american indian" author's responsibilities from the responsibilities of a "white" author? |
|
Definition
#38 It American Indian authors have the responsibility of representing their nation/tribe/reservation especially when they allow that info to be published in their bios. The readers & publishers expect the American Indian authors to write only about their personal experiences in regards to their tribe and nothing else. The white authors dont have that sense of responisbility because they have always been able to write about whatever they wanted to.
