Energy- is the ability to do work or to cause change.

Ex: i had lots of energy after drinking my morning coffee and i was ready to head to work.

Kinetic Energy- energy a object has due to its motion.

Ex: when i was riding the rollar coaster there was alot of kinetic energy what were on the tracks of the wheels and thats how the rollar coaster picks up really fast speeds.

Potential Energy- stored energy that results from the position or shape of an object.

Ex: I held the bow arrows string for a few seconds so it could build up more energy and have a faster and more accurate shot at the target.

Gravitational potential energy- potential energy that depends on its height of an object.

Ex: while i was driving my car i figured out that if you dont press down on the gas pedal while going down a hill you will accelerate alot faster than pressing on the gas of the car.

Elastic Potential Energy- The energy of stretched or compressed energy.

Ex:i stretched out my entire body before running the mile and track and i felt loose while running around the track.

Mechanical Energy- kinetic or potential energy associated with the motion or position of an object.

Ex: when i was standing under the windmills above of the sea the windmills air was causing the water to create giant waves that hit us on the ocean.

Thermal Energy- The total kinetic and potential energy of the particles in an object.

Ex:i sprayed lighter fluid on the ground and the grass lit up on fire because the lighter fluid had chemicals in it what caused the chemicals to react with a flame and some gasaline and it started the giant wild fire.

Electrical Energy- the energy of elctrical charges.

Ex:the wind and hail was picking up both of its speeds and it caused bad lighting outside and it was because of the electrical charges in space and the world.

Chemical Energy- The potential energy stored in chemical bonds.

Ex: I mixed baking soda and vinegar with water and it created a fizzing reaction what invloved the soda can to explode into a million pieces.

Energy Transformation- the process of changing one form of energy to another.

Ex: i connected a wire from  my house to my car and when i turned the car on it turned the power back on into my house.

Nuclear Energy-the potential energy stored in the nucleus of an atom.

Ex:  we have nuclear energy stored in our brain cells and what they do is they make us and that is what is relased when we sweat and get mad.

Electromagnetic Energy- The energy of light and other forms of radiation.

Ex: when i was working on a science experiment i used a battery and penny and some wires to make the light bulb light up in the room and i got a A+.

Biomass-biological material derived from living or recently living organisms.

Ex:i planted a seed and it grew to a tree and then it died and all what was left was wood chips because it got chopped up by a woodchipper.

Energy Transformation- The Process of changing one form of energy to another.

Ex:I transformed a block into a triangle because i cut it with scissors.

Law of conversation of energyThe rule that energy cannot be created or destroyed.

Ex: A tornado can not be destroyed or created by man kind.

Fossil Fuel-A material such as coal that forms over millions of years from remains of ancient plants and animals; burned to release chemical energy.

Ex: I found a fossil fuel what looked like a dinosaur bone and sold it for two thousand dollars because i found out that it was a dinosaur bone and it was one of hers or his teeth.

Combustion- The process of burning fuel to produce thermal energy.

Ex: I burned fuel,gasoline,and oil to create lighter fluid so it could turn into a thermal and chemical energy.

Conduction-The transfer of heat from one.

Ex: I blew heat on the burning coals and it started the fire back up because your mouth or any thing has heat and if you work with it it can create better opportunities for you and others like keep you warm to.
