Name the Support Systems for the EDG and their Purposes... |
|
Definition
Lube Oil System:
Circulates, cools, and Filters Lube Oil for the Engine.
Jacket Cooling Water System:
Controls operating temperature of EDG by removing heat mainly from cylinder block and heads. Also through an aftercooler heater regulates temps between 110F - 120F to increase first try starting capability.
Fuel Oil System:
Delivers Fuel Oil from Bulk Storage Tank to 2- 30000 FOSTs shared by 3 EDGs, to 3-550g Day tanks for continuous operation of 2 EDGs for 4.5 Days
Starting Air System:
Cranks EDG until combustion takes place.
