- Writers use composition process to develop taught--in addition to conveying information
- Writers review and examine their writing, question statements, make revisions
- Writing is an interaction between knowledge processing and text processing
- Knowledge (what is in the mind) is qualitatively different after the writing than before.

Knowledge Transforming is writers creating their own ideas and putting them into text, they may be based off of things that they have heard before, but they are revised.
Knowledge Telling is students retelling or rewriting a story that they know or have heard.

A mental condition in which one becomes unable to help oneself due to previous failed attempts at controlling one's life. Example: the cirucs elephant that has chains on it until it stops pulling, then throughout it's life if a rope is placed on the elephant it will not resist. |
