Definition
Making a left hand turn
1. After checking traffic behind you and signaling your intent, move into the lane closest to the center line.
2. If there are no lines marking the lanes, move your vehicle to the right of the center of the road.
3. Look right and left before starting the turn. Yield right of way, if necessary. Turn the steering wheel hand-over-hand.
4. Complete the turn in the first lane right of the center line.

2. Check traffic in all directions to make sure your path is clear.
3. Watch for oncoming cars making left turns in front of you. Sometimes oncoming traffic will have a green arrow before your light turns green.
